Midnight Ghosts
This image encapsulates the ethereal beauty of the Camargue horses, charging through the marshlands as if they were emerging from another realm. The water, splashing and merging with the horses’ white coats, creates an illusion where the lines between the physical and the surreal blur. Description
Personal Reflection: Capturing this moment felt like stepping into a painting that was being created in real-time. The way the water obscured the horses’ legs, the way their white coats glowed against the dark backdrop—it all felt so surreal, like I was witnessing something out of a dream. I edited this image to accentuate that painterly quality, drawing inspiration from the great artists who found their muse in this very region. The Camargue has a way of making the ordinary feel extraordinary, and in this image, I see the timelessness of this place—the way it blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination. When I look at “Midnight Ghosts,” I see a moment that could belong to any era, a scene that exists outside of time, much like the art that has come out of this land.
