Dalí’s Flamingo

Dalí’s Flamingo captures a moment where the line between reality and imagination blurs. The balance between its soft, pale form and the strong lines of its body hints at the spirit of Salvador Dalí, merging the familiar with the fantastical. It is a scene that holds both elegance and strangeness in the same frame, two qualities that often live together in art and in nature.

Description

Personal Reflection:

I stood in the rain with my camera, watching the flamingos move through the shallows. Their elegant but unusual shapes made me think of Dalí. Through the double exposure, their forms merged into a small, delicate creature with impossibly long legs. It felt both real and imagined at the same time. I built the image to live in that space, one leg in the world I saw and the other in the world I imagined.
